After months of deliberation, we finally bought Scrabble yesterday. Cost me Rs.600 and thats a bomb when it comes to board games. For the amount I paid, it sure was a disappointment. The game (marketed by Mattel Toys) consisted of a lousy board (which might tear apart in a couple of months), the tiles, 4 stands and the obligatory rule book...thats it! I remember the one I had (by Speedage) almost a decade plus ago had a better board and came along with nice score boards where the individual could keep adding up their scores as the game went on. Three cheers for the licensing sharks! And to add insult to injury, I lost the first game to Cinni :(
