The Aussies steamroll the US cricket team. Winning in just 7.5 overs! So emphatic was the victory that people are asking whether teams like USA should even be allowed to play at such level.

But does anybody realize that such thumping victory over USA could actually be a big mistake? No one should ever hurt the country's ego. Aussies are lucky they are not in the middle-east or Bush Jr. would have declared Brett Lee, Michael Kasprowicz and Jason Gillepsie as weapons of mass destruction and sent a million soldiers to Armageddon.
Yessir, they are lucky! But now USA would engage their top NASA scientists to research on the game (“Stop that research on high protein food grains, find out the best technique to clobber a ball!”). There will be high velocity wind tunnels for the bowlers to practice in and batsmen would be told at what degree their butts should be arching outwards when they play outside the off stump. Uncle Sam would insist that the third umpire be replaced with the 'eye in the sky' and so all the run-outs would be called out from the surveillance team in the Pentagon. And the team? They would all be 7.5-foot giants recruited from Cuba, Ecuador and the likes. They would all be wearing Technicolor Lycra body suits (for better aerodynamics you see!) and wielding special magnesium alloy bats (of course, wood is obsolete! Be eco-friendly) that would bounce a leg-glance over and beyond the fine leg boundary.
If all this fails, they have Bill Gates! He is just going to buy out every cricket playing creature outside of the USA and turn them all into call center executives ("Thank you for calling Microsoft speech therapy center, I am Sachin, How can I help you?"). That would leave the US as the only horse in the race to the world cup. World cup champs in less than 4 years of entering top-level international cricket! What an achievement! USA is certainly the greatest nation of all! Viva Uncle Sam!!!
One good thing I can see from all this - Imagine the cheerleaders...strutting their stuff at Barabati stadium where the USA under-19 A-team defeated the Indian national team by 497 run...Imagined? ;) Okay, now imagine the woman's cricket team…all 11 of them in their beach-volleyball like uniforms!!! ;) Mmmm...maybe it’s not as bad as it sounds! Maybe USA should play cricket...Go Wallabies! Crush 'em mates!!!
