Rain Rain Go To Spain
Go to Bulgaria, go to Fiji...Madagascar...anywhere, but pleeeeeez stop pouring on Bangalore. I'm and sick and tired of the heavens constantly leaking over this city. It rains quarter of a millimeter and the city comes to a standstill. What's worse is the cruel joke the rain gods like to play on us hapless mortals, its mostly bright and sunny 5 days of the week but come weekend...the skies open up!!!
There's waterlogging everywhere, traffic jams galore and you can't step out of your house. For a city where it rains almost 10 months in a year, its appalling to see how little the authorities have done to tackle the rain-related issues. There is no proper drainage system, traffic management is non-existent, and the lesser said about the potholes the better. I wish all the ballyhoo about improving the city's infra takes a concrete form soon.
