Bruce Dickinson's New Solo Album Released!

The god of vox is back!

Seven years after the critically acclaimed 'The Chemical Wedding', the air raid siren is back with a new album 'Tyranny of Souls'. The album was released worldwide (of course not! India does not come in 'worldwide') yesterday.

For this album, Bruce again teams up with the genius guitarist/producer/songwriter Roy Z who has also worked on his earlier albums and is part of the 'Tribe of Gypsies'. Roy Z has also worked with the other vox god Halford on his solo album 'Crucible' and Judas Priest's latest album 'Angel of Retribution'.

You can download the first video release, Abduction, from ScreamForMe. This site also has some audio samples from this album. The video shows Bruce as a victim of some kinda alien abduction/experiment. Though age is undeniably visible on the his face, the voice has not lost much of its edge. Of course, its not what it was in the Powerslave album but that was 20 years ago. With the new Maiden album also in the offing, Bruce is gonna have his hands full with recording and touring dates.

This promises to be another bombastic tour de force from the legendary vocalist and after the disappointing 'Dance of Death', it better be a redeeming effort. Now to get my hands on this album and see if it really does justice to all these superlatives. And with Maiden confirming their dates for the Ozzfest, I hope I finally get to see my gods in flesh.

Up the Irons!
