Sachin Clicks...Finally!
So...Tendulkar scored yesterday...his first century in 15 matches! His last 100 came more than a year ago (16 Mar 2004) against Pak in a match India lost by 12 Runs. Come to think of it, India has seldom won the match in which Sachin has clicked, which puts a big question mark on his ability to be a match winner.
Out of the 346 matches he has played, India has won 28 matches in which he scored above 100. You could choose to look at it from another angle, out of the 38 matches in which he scored centuries, India has won 28 times. On the other hand, India has won on 102 occasions where he scored 50 or less.
The stats speak for themselves but let us not dwell on that. Sachin is a delight to watch when he is at full flow. I hope he carries the form he displayed yesterday and I wouldn't give a damn if we won or lost.
